SUNDAY, January 22, 2023: “Bigger Than Roe” Protest in Tampa, FL

Action in Tampa: one of more than 200 events in Cities Nationwide set to Protect all our basic Freedoms

Tampa, Florida -- On January 22, 2023, the 50th anniversary of Roe V Wade, in coordination with a coalition of organizations across Tampa, we will rally at Joe Chillura Courthouse Square to mourn the loss of nearly 50 years of constitutional protections and to fight the legislation coming out of Tallahassee that would further curb basic human rights here in Florida.

Women’s lives are bigger than Roe. Reproductive freedom is bigger than Roe. Women, particularly women under 50, along with voters under 30, saw the 2022 midterms as a crossroads for our country and turned out in record numbers in states across America. Here in Florida, we saw a dierent result, but our minority will not be silenced and we will continue to fight against the unjust legislation coming out of Tallahassee.

This Sunday, a rally organized by the For Our Future Action Fund, Women’s Advocacy Movement of Pinellas, Fierce Tampa Warriors, Project No Labels, the Democratic Progressive Caucus of Tampa Bay and Sam(ira) Obeid LLC., among others send another clear message: We are not going gently. We are taking our fight to every state house and every state legislator in this country. We are putting all politicians at every level of government on notice: If you come for our families, our freedoms, or our future, we are coming for your seat. Our movement is strong. Our movement is growing.
